Alyssa Gibbons
Master’s Level Counseling Intern
My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic, family systems, person-centered, and narrative frameworks. Without the therapy jargon, this means I pay close attention to how your past experiences, relationships, and the stories you’ve been told—or tell yourself—shape your present reality. At the same time, I deeply believe in your capacity for change, growth, and resilience. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, but about doing meaningful work that leads to long-term healing, transformation, and wholeness.
Our sessions will be collaborative, and you will always be met with warmth, a grounded presence, curiosity, and respect. I will follow your lead, listen intentionally, and create space for you to explore your emotions, relationships, and goals without judgment. My hope is that you will feel truly seen, supported, and empowered throughout our time together.
Ultimately, my goal is to help you reconnect with your voice, your worth, and your story. Together, we will work to untangle what has held you back, no matter how messy that may seem, and move toward the life you want to live—with hope, clarity, and renewed strength.
Alyssa Gibbons got her Bachelors’ of Arts in Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California. Deep, hard, heart work is important to her but so is laughter and fun! When Alyssa is not sitting with clients, she loves to play outside, whether it be camping or stand-up paddle boarding, as well as spend time with her community and eat good food with people she loves.
