Our therapists specialize in attachment-based and trauma-focused care, including Brainspotting, EMDR, Neurofeedback, Synergetic Play Therapy, and other trauma-reprocessing modalities. Position Overview
GMC is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) who is compassionate, grounded, and aligned with our belief in the power of connection. This position welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

We are looking for someone who brings an open attitude, collaborates well with leadership, and demonstrates tenacity, follow-through, and a willingness to grow. Professional development in trauma-wise and relational modalities is deeply valued in our practice culture.

As an independent contractor, you will maintain autonomy while benefiting from administrative support, consultation opportunities, and a warm, connected environment. If needed, clinical supervision toward LPC licensure may be available or supported.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, child, or family therapy

  • Practice from an attachment-focused, trauma-wise perspective

  • Work with insurance (including Medicaid) and participate in credentialing/paneling with support

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in SimplePractice

  • Participate in team meetings, case consultation, and practice-wide communication

  • Offer in-person and/or teletherapy sessions

  • Approach clients with warmth, curiosity, humility, and attuned presence

The ideal LPCC collaborates well, receives guidance from leadership, and shows commitment and follow-through in both clinical and administrative responsibilities. You value structure, connection, and professional development while enjoying the autonomy of independent contractor work.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling or a related field

  • Active LPCC license in Colorado

  • Willingness to be paneled with commercial insurance and Medicaid (administrative support provided)

  • Openness to ongoing training, feedback, and growth

  • Comfortable working with diverse populations across the lifespan

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Experience (not required)

  • EMDR, Brainspotting, and/or Neurofeedback

  • Attachment-based or trauma-reprocessing modalities

  • Synergetic Play Therapy

  • Work with anxiety, depression, grief, betrayal trauma, chronic illness, or perinatal mental health

  • Sexual addiction or partner trauma

  • Cultural or identity-related transitions
