Piper Cadez
Master’s Level Counseling Intern
therapeutic approach
I take an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from existential and humanistic traditions, positive psychology, and multicultural perspectives. I also incorporate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gestalt therapy to support each client’s unique needs and goals.
At the heart of my work is a belief that therapy is a space for meaning-making, self-discovery, and growth. Together, we explore how life experiences have shaped you, connect with your strengths, and identify what matters most to you. I value being present with clients in the here-and-now while also supporting emotional awareness, regulation, and intentional action aligned with personal values.
I view therapy as a collaborative and non-hierarchical relationship. You are the expert on your own lived experience, and I see my role as a supportive partner walking alongside you as you navigate healing, growth, and change.

About Piper
Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and paddle boarding, as well as attending live music events, crafting, and connecting with friends. I value time that allows for both creativity and connection, whether that’s being outside, making something by hand, or simply sharing space with people I care about.
